USD 490 El Dorado Middle School

El Dorado, Kansas

Completed in January 2014, the new El Dorado Middle School was a result of a comprehensive master plan and process that replaced all elementary schools and created new middle schools for USD 490. The new middle school consists of grade-level classroom communities with integrated flex learning spaces for small- and large-group activities outside the classroom and a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen. Gravity::Works gave special attention to creating open environments for student supervision. The design accommodates student safety via controlled entrances and safe rooms.

For more than three years, they’ve provided constant support as we’ve lived in, adjusted to, and made modifications to the facilities. They have provided solid leadership and creative guidance in the latest bond and it was decided immediately that they would lead our district through yet another bond project.”
