Butler County Emergency Operations Center

Augusta, Kansas

In 2020, as a response to early reactions for COVID-19 and testing needs, Butler County initiated an ambitious effort to build a facility that could manage drive-thru testing and consolidate their EOC and EMA needs county-wide. The project was fast-tracked with early bid packages to determine a Construction Manager at Risk and completed within an aggressive timeframe. Storm protection for EOC and power generation was a key goal for Butler County and has positioned them to serve with increased response capacity for the next several decades.
