Butler County Emergency Operations Center

Augusta, Kansas

In 2020, as an early response to COVID-19 and testing needs, Butler County initiated an ambitious effort to build a facility that could manage drive-thru testing and consolidate their EOC and EMA needs countywide. The project was fast-tracked with early bid packages to determine a Construction Manager at Risk and completed within an aggressive timeframe. Storm protection for EOC and power generation were key goals for Butler County, better positioning them to serve with increased response capacity for the next several decades.
